It's August 14th and it's my last night of summer vacation...
Sorta...
Tomorrow we leave for Disney World and return the night before I report to school! I couldn't be happier about this trip! My entire family...all 15 of us...are taking off tomorrow with hopes and dreams of 10 days packing with magical moments!
It will surely be a way to end summer of 2014 with a bang!!!
And so I find myself sitting alone at the football field watching Nick finish his 2nd week of practice and I'm filled with a sense of calm!
It's quiet! I hear whistles and coaches giving directions but I'm so calm I can here the crickets. I've been so hurried lately I can't remember when I last heard the crickets.
If I didn't say I was disappointed in myself for letting 2 full months go without a single blog post...I'd be lying!
Big lies!
I've had lots of ideas...happy and not! Excited and not! Frustrated and not! But I've lacked the ability to put pencil to paper....or finger to keyboard!
But I'm going to be kind to myself (advice from last post) and be ok with it!
I'm sure I'll use some of the ideas that have been swimming in my thoughts and I have tons of pictures I'd like to use!
But for now I'm going to appreciate the sprinkles of raindrops falling on me in this calming moment during a beautiful summer night!
